A major focus of the Algoma Fall Festival is the delivery of arts outreach and education. The Festival of Learning outreach and education program facilitates professional artists interacting and sharing knowledge and expertise with children, teens and learners of all ages through performances, concerts, hands-on workshops and master classes. As well students will visit our own cultural sites including the Ermatinger-Clergue National Historic Site, the Art Gallery of Algoma, the Sault Ste. Marie Museum and the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre.
Joining the Festival of Learning’s Artist in Residence program are four exceptional performing arts groups including:
Kaha:wi Dance Theatre
A Story Before Time is an enchanting interpretation of an age-old Iroquoian creation tale. The Storyteller weaves together the story and the dance using narration. Visually stunning, musically rich and theatrically compelling, this spectacular dance work is entertaining and insightful.
