Awesome Music Project - A Celebration of Art and Music
Join us for a Celebration of Art and Music with a concert and storytelling hosted by Sarah Slean, veteran of the Canadian music scene, and Rob Carli and Kim Slade of AMP. The audience will be surrounded by the exhibition “Cobalt, A Mining Town and the Canadian Imagination” featuring members of the Group of Seven and other Canadian Modern Painters of the early thirties.
Awesome Music Project Workshop
Join the AMP team for an engaging creative workshop. Sarah Slean, herself an accomplished visual artist as well as Juno award winning singer/songwriter, Rob Carli founder of AMP and Kim Slade will lead you on an expressive journey using storytelling, music and art to explore ways to improve your wellbeing. Art supplies are provided.
Tanya Talaga & Mike Downie
Tanya Talaga, award-winning Anishinaabe journalist and author, in conversation with Mike Downie, Canadian documentary filmmaker who together with his younger brother of Gord Downie of The Tragically Hip created the multi-media project Secret Path will discuss Truth and Reconciliation and Tanya’s new book.
